A Multi-billion dollar global manufacturing company based in the United States, and a leader in the “Green" movement, is looking for a talented Plant Controller to be part of the senior leadership team. The location of the plant is about a half hour west of Toronto. This is a highly visible position in the company and will have heavy interaction with both the plant, division and corporate level staff. Both Canadian and US Citizens will be considered.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
 

Responsible for the financial management of a $50+ million plant, with high tech production capabilities.
Maintain and improve the standard costing system in the plant.
Creation and oversight of Bill of Material (BOM) and Routers for the plant
Oversight of all inventory issues in the plant
Budgeting and forecasting for the plant location and ensuring adequate documentation and detail of all relevant data.
Responsible foe the preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly financial forecasts consistent with management goals.  Ensure that relevant issues are brought to management’s attention and monitor plans to achieve management goals.
Develop internal control programs to enhance financial controls and ensure compliance to policies and procedures. 
Develop processes to identify and resolve issues that can provide opportunity to improve financial results.
Work with marketing and sales on RFQ’s
Manage the shipping and receiving function at the plant.
Supervision of a staff.
Provide leadership to strengthen and develop the finance function
Improve financial forecasting techniques and forecast accuracy.  Implement streamlined forecasting models and conduct monthly variance analysis.
