Candidate we are looking for would perform manual and machine operator tasks in the set-up, maintenance and operation of Digital Equipment. This is long-term full-time position on 2nd shift and a great opportunity for someone who has the experience! Job Duties/Responsibilities:Operates or directs operation of the On-Demand equipment in accordance with job orders. Makes jobs ready by transferring supplies and substrates from inventory to work areas / equipment, works with the job manager, scans, downloads electronic files individually or from network server, places electronic files, sets-up booklet maker and cover inserter and various On-Demand equipment and assures book collation order.Makes final pre-run inspection of job and approves or confers with supervisor for approval. The employee is responsible for quality of printed work with defined levels of authority.Downloads each job to archive media and maintains accurate records on all jobs to assure information is available should questions later arise or to assure accuracy if the job reprints.Takes month-end meter readings on equipment and fully inventories all consumables. Maintains an adequate inventory of paper and consumables; returns damaged consumables to supplier in a timely manner.Have adequate knowledge of the substrates that print most effectively on this equipment.Performs trouble shooting, preventative and routine maintenance of equipment, and restocks equipment consumables such as replacing developer, dry ink, fuser agent, binder tape, and stitcher wire.Maintains and reads Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs). On-Demand employee(s) is responsible for proper handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals and abides by all other safety practices as defined by the company, OSHA requirements, and equipment manufacturers.Operates or assist on other pre-press and or bindery equipment and presses if needed and when work load permits.Ensures strict compliance to all applicable ISO 9001 and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP) requirements and work instructions. Job Requirements: Thorough knowledge of digital /On-demand operations and functions (Xerox experience preferred). Basic computer knowledge including primary software: QuarkXpress, Excel and Word. Good knowledge of applicability of various jobs to equipment. Ability to read and understand written instructions and set up all operations to carry out instructions. Position Requirements
Responsible for directing, guiding and optimizing maintenance hourly labor in the execution of maintenance plans and supporting the overall operations of assigned area/shift
Will direct and guide maintenance activities for assigned area/shift in the execution of maintenance plans
Participate in the development of and implements plans and policies to ensure all areas of responsibility
Conduct maintenance in accordance with FDA guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP program guidelines
Responsible for team development of maintenance employees in assigned areas according to targeted specifications, to achieve total quality
Helps to develop new Maintenance Supervisors in all responsibilities and promotes a positive attitude
Responsible for problem solving process to resolve and/or mitigate those operational issues resulting in negative performance to plan as determined by the established escalation process
Responsible for support of Lean Training as directed for assigned area/shift
Ensure adherence to all standard work processes, including K-LEAN processes
Responsible for compliance with all regulations
Food safety - plant in proper sanitary condition at all times, including allergen control, pest control, guidelines followed
Ensure achievement of all area/shift KPIs; ensure adherence to and continuous improvement for all area/shift MCRS® elements
Responsible for supporting the execution of relevant projects within assigned area/shift
Administers the terms of the Collective Bargaining agreement in a consistent manner, and provides input during planning and preparation for labor negotiations
Resolve grievance and disputes on the floor whenever possible
Adhere to and administer company policies and procedures

Must be able to read non-digital micrometers and calipers. Must be willing to follow directions. Familiarity with Fanuc controls is a plus. Operators are responsible for performing daily maintenance on their machines. Experience in a high volume production environment is required. Must be able to perform in process part inspections and maintain preocess parameters. Learning is encouraged and raises are based on ability and skill level. Employee advancement beyond operator is possible.
